At Industrial Heat Transfer, we specialize in the design and manufacture of custom heat transfer equipment for industrial applications. As a leading provider of finned tube heat exchangers, we deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions to clients across power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, and manufacturing sectors.
We're looking for a driven Application Sales Engineer to join our team and serve as the technical-commercial bridge between customers and our engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically savvy individual with strong communication skills to make a significant impact on high-performance projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their process requirements and recommend appropriate finned tube heat exchanger solutions
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, including thermal sizing, material selection, and cost estimation
- Interpret specifications, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings to support accurate quotations
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure successful execution of orders
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial markets
- Support customers throughout the sales cycle from inquiry through commissioning and after-sales support
- Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent technical experience)
- Strong knowledge of heat transfer principles, finned tube exchangers, and ASME codes
- Experience with thermal design software (e.g., HTRI, Aspen EDR, or in-house tools)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, site visits, or tradeshows
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial heat exchanger sales, thermal systems, or process equipment
- Prior experience with industrial heat exchangers, HVAC coils, or custom-fabricated pressure vessels
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems such as JobBOSS, Salesforce, or similar
- Experience working with OEMs, EPCs, and industrial end users
- MS Excel mastery with knowledge of VBA
