The Industrial Engineer will: Maintain current wage payment system under the guidance and control of the Plant Industrial Engineering Manager. Use sound Industrial Engineering tools and procedures, control the system for optimum efficiency of the manufacturing processes. Produce cost studies and estimates to verify recommendations in layout patterns, equipment, design and method changes. Co-ordinate with Controller, Production Management, and Supervision to prepare cost reduction programs and projects to reduce manufacturing costs. Assists production with the resolution of production/productivity problems and equipment selection. Work with all Plant Manufacturing, Engineering, Controlling, and Technical departments to design and implement projects to reduce costs, install new processes or new systems. Assist Human Resources and plant management in determining procedure for adoption with minimal interruption.
Perform floor Time and Methods study using existing systems and new systems.
Observe and analyze Floor operations to determine weaknesses and strengths for improvement opportunities.
Prepare and assist in the preparation of Capital Requests for the Plant.
Coordinate with Industrial Engineering Manager for the enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
Perform Special Projects for Plant Management and other duties as directed by the Industrial Engineering Manager.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering degree Visa sponsorship for Continental employees only. Preferred Qualifications: Internal or External Vocational Experience: One (1) or more years experience in an Mfg plant as an Industrial Engineer with computerized IE methods (MOST, Etc) The Environment Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes. The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Additional Information
