Hardware Test Engineer - Autonomous Systems Location: Washington, DC (100% Onsite) Salary: $130,000-$170,000 U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents Only - No Exceptions

As a Hardware Test Engineer , you'll play a key role in validating new hardware designs to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards. This is a hands-on, onsite role that blends engineering rigor with real-world testing of complex electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of new hardware designs Develop and run automated test scripts using LabVIEW, Python, or MATLAB Troubleshoot and evaluate electromechanical systems and components Utilize Linux command-line tools for diagnostics and scripting Work with protocols such as Ethernet and CAN Operate and interpret data from standard lab/test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, LISNs) Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 2+ years of hands-on experience testing or troubleshooting electromechanical systems Experience with automated test development and Linux-based environments Familiarity with communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN) Proficient in using lab equipment for signal analysis and diagnostics Preferred Experience (Nice to Have): EMI and environmental testing Familiarity with standards such as MIL-STD-810H , MIL-STD-461G , MIL-STD-464 , or DO-160
