The Gas Turbine Engineer will support the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of gas turbine systems within BaRupOn's power generation portfolio. This associate-level role focuses on technical support, inspections, data analysis, and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in turbine operation, power plant systems, or rotating equipment and is eager to grow within the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of gas turbines and auxiliary systems
Monitor performance metrics and analyze trends to identify issues or inefficiencies
Support vibration analysis, thermodynamic performance tests, and outage planning
Collaborate with senior engineers during startup, shutdown, and load testing
Maintain technical records, service logs, and compliance documentation
Ensure all work follows OSHA and environmental safety standards
Interface with OEM technicians, contractors, and plant operators during service events
Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Generation Technology
2–5 years of experience working with gas turbines, rotating equipment, or industrial power systems
Familiarity with turbine operation principles, fuel systems, and plant safety protocols
Able to read mechanical schematics, P&IDs, and service manuals
Skilled in troubleshooting, routine inspections, and condition monitoring
Willingness to work in industrial environments and travel to job sites as needed
Strong attention to detail and documentation habits
Preferred Certifications
OSHA 30 Certification
Gas turbine OEM training (GE, Siemens, Solar Turbines, etc.)
First Aid/CPR
NCCER or NIMS mechanical certification
