Full Stack Software Engineer at Truework

Join a small, core engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the main product and platform. Take significant ownership and responsibility, including leading projects and collaborating with product managers on feature definition and implementation. Work primarily on backend development, with opportunities for full stack contributions. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, design, sales, marketing, and support teams to understand business goals and deliver solutions. Design, code, test, maintain, and integrate backend systems, especially using Python/Django. Contribute to daily engineering activities such as strategy discussions, pull requests, and code reviews. Take ownership of project outcomes, managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently. Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and leadership. Must have 5+ years of full stack engineering experience, with strong backend skills (Python/Django), and proficiency in React and JavaScript. Experience with REST APIs and SCRUD programming required. Ability to work autonomously, proactively solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, startup-like environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration. 100% remote role; must be able to work PST hours, ideally located near San Francisco, CA.
