Fire Suppression & Fire Alarm Design Engineer

We are hiring a Fire Suppression Design Engineereither Junior or Senior level, depending on your experience. This role focuses on the design of special hazard fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems (not water-based sprinkler systems).
Responsibilities:
- Design fire suppression and fire alarm systems using AutoCAD and proprietary design software.
- Ensure compliance with local, national codes, and manufacturer standards.
- Conduct site surveys to ensure optimal system design and installation.
- Interpret and apply project specifications provided by customers.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to installation contractors.
- Create and update project-specific documentation including O&M manuals and drawings.
- Assist with system startup, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training, including manufacturer classes and NICET preparation.
- Support internal engineering and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Previous experience designing fire suppressionand fire alarm systems (not sprinkler-only systems).
- Strong background in AutoCAD 2D; experience with 3D design is a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong technical and communication skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the fire protection industry.
- Willingness to pursue NICET certification.
