About the Role:
This opportunity is designed for an experienced engineer ready to take on complex and high-impact projects with minimal oversight. The position offers significant autonomy and the chance to play a key role in both team delivery and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems, including:
- Domestic water systems
- Sanitary drainage and vent systems
- Storm drainage systems
- Pumping and natural gas distribution systems
- Special systems such as clean agent (gaseous) suppression
- Perform system selections, develop preliminary designs, and prepare performance specifications
- Conduct feasibility studies, sustainability assessments, and due diligence for existing facilities
- Produce and revise technical documentation using AutoCAD and Revit
- Ensure all designs meet local, state, and client-specific code requirements and standards
- Collaborate closely with clients and project stakeholders to deliver innovative and cost-effective design solutions
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (PE license preferred)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and fire protection system design
- Strong understanding of plumbing system applications, building codes, and drafting standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Ability to interpret construction documents and contribute meaningfully to the construction process
