Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Tulsa-based with 50% travel
Position Summary:
The Field Service Engineer will specialize in natural gas compressor packages, focusing on aftermarket repairs, warranties, and potentially startups and commissioning. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of compression systems, and commitment to safety and quality.
Job Duties:
Provide technical services for field installations, commissioning, operations, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Resolve mechanical and electrical issues on compression systems.
Test and calibrate systems for proper operation and safety.
Use diagnostic tools for system performance and regulatory compliance.
Perform alignments, vibration analyses, and engine tuning.
Complete service reports and OEM checklists.
Maintain records of service calls, repairs, and inventory.
Communicate technical details and updates to customers.
Provide technical advice and training to customers.
Ensure safe operation of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Adhere to safety policies, regulations, and standards.
Travel to customer sites, including remote areas, with potential for multi-state and international travel at short notice.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of experience in field service for natural gas compressors.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and interpreting schematics.
Knowledge of compression systems and safety protocols.
Ability to work independently in remote locations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
Good communication and basic computer skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass DMV, background, and drug tests
