Essential Functions
Diagnose and repair complex industrial control systems, including, but not limited to: PLCs, CNC controllers, field bus networks, and drive systems
Read and interpret electrical schematics and use multi-meter to diagnose electrical circuits
Coordinates and interfaces directly with customers, suppliers, and other entities to ensure that all customer requirements, goals and objectives are fully understood and communicated to senior management
Travel to customer sites to perform new machine commissioning, planned preventive maintenance, machine controls upgrades, and emergency service
Perform maintenance and operator training for customers
Follow policy and procedures including safe working practices
Any additional duties assigned by management.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: BS in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering, OR Technical Certificate and 3+ years of experience within the industrial automation industry or equivalent experience
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Able to work at the company or customer facilities, in excess of eight hours per day or 40 hours per week on a second shift and/or weekends if necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience demonstrating problem solving abilities and resourcefulness
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22.C.F.R. ยง is required
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in aerospace manufacturing & assembly
Familiarity with Siemens automation and controls systems
Ability to learn new software developments in automation
Capable of building automated assemblies
Basic knowledge of manufacturing practices including machining and automated drill and fill
Must be able to read and understand blueprints including geometric tolerance and understanding of general tolerances and GD&T
A demonstrated capability to think strategically and execute tactically
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to think independently and problem solve
Display a level of professionalism at all times
