Position Overview We’re seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with a deep understanding of RTL design flows, EDA tools, and a strong grasp of the chip development lifecycle. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our engineering team and our customers, ensuring successful product deployment, technical adoption, and feedback integration. Experience or familiarity with AI/ML technologies in design automation is a significant plus. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and the internal product and engineering teams. Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including product demonstrations, evaluations, and technical onboarding. Work closely with RTL and verification teams at customer sites to integrate and optimize the startup’s productivity tool in real-world design environments. Provide detailed feedback to R&D on customer needs, pain points, and enhancement requests. Develop and deliver technical training materials, presentations, and documentation. Stay up to date with emerging trends in RTL design, EDA tooling, and AI applications in semiconductor workflows. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in RTL design, digital verification, or EDA application engineering. Strong understanding of Verilog/SystemVerilog, RTL flows, synthesis, linting, and simulation tools. Experience working with EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens, or similar. Proven ability to engage with engineering customers in a technical support or applications role. Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences. Preferred Qualifications Background or hands-on exposure to AI/ML, particularly in the context of design automation or chip productivity. Experience working in or supporting startups, with an agile and collaborative mindset. Familiarity with scripting (Python, TCL) and data analysis for debugging or optimization. Knowledge of formal verification, design planning, or performance bottleneck analysis is a plus.
