Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. As a Software Engineer II in FAST Labs Engineering you will:
Work on some of the most challenging EW, Cyber, and Autonomous Platforms to meet our customer s needs.
Assist on the evaluation and design of highly complex and innovative software architectures.
Be part of a small fast technical team of 5 to 10 people.
Be mentored and trained by some of the best engineers and scientists in the electronic warfare community.
Be part of interactions with customers to understand their requirements and guide development efforts to meet their needs.
Create software! Typically, in C /C/Rust but in other languages as well.

This position may require occasional U.S. domestic travel to support integration and test events.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site . This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
Experience with Object Oriented design, development practices, and implementation in C or other OO language
Active/Current TOP SECRET clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Real-time, embedded, multi-threaded, low latency development
Tools: GIT, Jira, Confluence
Agile Development experience
Designing and/or implementing complex software algorithms,
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $77809 - $132275
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
