As a Facilities Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, implementing, testing, troubleshooting and support for industrial facility systems, process equipment, machinery, and engine test systems for an industry-leading Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul organization for gas turbine engines and components.
What you'll do:
Oversees and directs design, specification, and implementation of new equipment and process systems.
Oversees and directs construction of new premises and renovation of existing facilities.
Oversees and supports site space requirements, resource unit and production cell relocations, construction & implementation of new operational groups in to the premises.
Actively participates as engineering focal for the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
Ensures environmental compliance, risk management and loss control by researching regulations, determining needs, writing guidelines and conducting audits.
Design and implement various facilities initiatives with consideration to industrial ventilation, dust collection, cooling towers and heat exchangers, pumping and piping systems, chemical processes, wastewater, HVAC, area layouts, building envelope & grounds, and energy-savings improvements
Coordinate resources and drive timelines for construction and site implementation projects.
Obtain professional drawings and approvals when required through consulting services.
Assist with establishing and overseeing of various trades and contractors for performing facilities and maintenance work.
Execute projects small and large as the Project Manager, working individually or part of a larger team, with a large variety of concurrent tasks and projects.
Troubleshoot equipment, facility, and engine test systems to provide technical support and coordination for the Maintenance Team.
Establish preventative and predictive maintenance opportunities for facility systems and industrial equipment
Identify and develop projects to support Continuous Improvement for various energy and operational savings initiatives.
Provide technical training, support, and mentoring to team members.
Provide the above support remotely to over 30 sites globally, and embrace opportunities for travel.
Provide remote or call-in support for critical after-hours facility and maintenance issues.
Have a high tolerance for a fast paced, changing environment with frequent new, unfamiliar problems.
Carries out special projects as assigned.
What you'll need:
0 to 3 years of Facilities / Project Management experience required.
Experience owning multiple projects and applying Project Management principals.
Experience interpreting & reviewing technical drawings, coordinating various trades and contractors.
Strong understanding of industrial processes, building systems, and shop equipment.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
Effectively communicate in a professional manner.
Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.
Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations, fire, health and safety, building, plumbing and electrical codes.
Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining buildings and facilities.
University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in the use of computers, familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and integrated system.
Flexible to travel based on project requirements.
