Purpose:
Supervise the repair and maintenance of plant buildings, general services, plumbed utilities, natural gas pipelines, gas regulation systems and motive equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Directly supervise the repair and maintenance of plant facilities and motive equipment. This includes the repair of all wheeled equipment, buildings, roofs, roadways, plumbed utilities, railroad tracks and services.
- Oversee maintenance of natural gas pipelines, interior piping and gas handling and regulating systems both in the facility and in the public domain. Maintain appropriate Operator Qualification status as required by the PUCO.
- Support the execution of general plant mechanical work orders.
- Directly supervise the repair and maintenance of cranes, elevators, plant air compressors, instrument air compressors, air dryers, HVAC systems, boilers, and fire protection systems.
- Perform support and backup functions for other salaried department personnel.
- Support the evaluation and assessment of mechanical skilled trade new hire candidates.
- Assist with facility issues in the O.E. Fabrication Department including steam system operation and with the remaining dormant areas of the Rossford Facility as necessary.
- Coordinate maintenance of Rossford wastewater handling, water treatment systems and provide support to environmental programs.
- Supervise the maintenance of secondary containment areas.
- Support special projects and ongoing improvements in accordance with efforts to increase glassmaking and batch plant performance.
- Enhance the depth and versatility of maintenance management team.
- Supervise Day Pool maintenance team members.
- Other duties assigned by manager.

Qualifications Required:
- Associate degree (Engineering field).
- Background/experience in vehicular and industrial mechanical and electrical equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Computer literate.
- Supportive of E.I. and preventive maintenance.
- Strong communication skills.
- Intimate understanding of piping, steam, compressed air, various pumping and HVAC systems.
Qualifications Desired:
- 1-3 years glass manufacturing experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Knowledge of the Rossford facility buildings and utility network.
Salary Range $83,211 - $114,120
