POSITION SUMMARY
An Experienced Manufacturing Industrial Engineer is a problem-solver, facilitator, change agent, innovator, resource, designer and project manager. Responsible for performing these functions on issues as they are assigned (or arise) in the designated area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the successful completion of projects with clearly defined goals and scope and concise project progress reports.
Evaluates need, analyzes options, develops plan, develops Appropriation Request (AR) and manages implementation of project until completed within the allotted time frame.
Develops implements and maintains equitable labor standards. Follow company procedures for delay studies and labor standards.
Responsible for ensuring accurate maintenance of Routing and Bills of Material files on corporate manufacturing data management system.
Coordinates successful corrections to production problems using sound industrial engineering problem-solving techniques and practices.
When needed, develops alternate methods or processes to allow emergency continued production.
Alternate solutions are evaluated using sound engineering economy techniques.
Develops, installs and maintains optimum processes for the safe manufacture of quality product in a productive manner using modern manufacturing methods ( i.e. LEAN manufacturing, Toyota production systems)
Develops procedures in standardized work format and provides training on new processes, tools and equipment, including but not limited to developing and designing workplace layout and methods through the optimal use of motion economy principles, ergonomics, handling devices, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
General manufacturing engineering functions as necessary.
Education: BS Industrial Engineering or in a related engineering field - REQUIRED
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of the Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) or similar work measurement system.
Experience and knowledge in LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, Toyota Production System.
Salary range for this position is $90K to $120K per year (DOE), bonus potential up to 10%, attractive benefit package, relocation assistance (if needed/applicable.)
