Description The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is actively seeking an Entry-Level Cloud Engineer to contribute to an exciting program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and scaling hybrid cloud digital infrastructure for our Air Force Lifecycle Management Command (AFLCMC) customer. This role is perfect for a quick-learning and high-performing individual who has demonstrated success in delivering cloud solutions. Ideal candidates will have practical experience in implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, applying DevSecOps principles along with an Everything-as-Code approach. You will collaborate with a dedicated team that provides 24x7 monitoring and management of customer networks and will be part of an on-call rotation for off-hours emergencies. Primary Responsibilities: Deploy and manage virtual cloud infrastructures in hybrid environments using Microsoft Azure Cloud (IaaS & PaaS). Automate cloud deployments and configurations with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and ARM/BICEP templates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provision, maintain, and scale cloud resources in Microsoft Azure. Monitor resource utilization in the cloud to maximize cost efficiency and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and infrastructure issues, conducting root cause analyses when necessary. Ensure compliance with security and operational standards within a DevSecOps framework. Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation in the development lifecycle. Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Configure and monitor tools to maintain system and application availability and performance. Identify optimizations to enhance efficiency, reduce latency, and improve system uptime. Apply security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM) and encryption strategies, to safeguard hybrid cloud infrastructures. Assist with audit and compliance initiatives (e.g., RMF, NIST, ISO 27001). Provide Tier-2/3 support for escalated issues, working alongside internal teams and external vendors. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing. Basic Qualifications: US Citizenship with at least a Top Secret Clearance is required, with the ability to obtain an SCI prior to your start date. Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ years of experience. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. Basic knowledge of software design patterns and programming languages. Understanding of software development paradigms and technologies (e.g., change management, version control, CI/CD, Agile planning tools such as Jira or GitLab). Proficient with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols (e.g., HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, DNS). Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of creating structure from unstructured inputs. Self-starter with the ability to work independently while effectively communicating with software development teams and customers. DoD 8140 Basic certification (e.g., A+, Network+). Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Desire for continuous learning and professional development in cybersecurity and DevOps practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Air Force Life Cycle Management Center programs. DoD 8140 Intermediate or higher certification (e.g., Cloud+, Security+, SecurityX). Experience in managing physical and digital infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment. Intermediate Azure Certification such as AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate or similar certifications from other Cloud Service Providers. Familiarity with security tools and practices associated with DevSecOps (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST). Experience with automated provisioning and configuration tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible). Experience provisioning and managing resources in IaaS/Cloud infrastructures (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform). Basic knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST) and DoD regulations. Pay Range: Pay Range: $67,600.00 - $122,200.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation.
