About the Role
We're creating a new team of Enterprise Growth Engineers-technical builders who operate at the intersection of customer needs and product innovation. This isn't a typical engineering role. You'll be part of a "Special Forces" team that rapidly builds solutions to unblock enterprise deals, then transforms those one-off wins into scalable product features that benefit all Clay users.
As an Enterprise Growth Engineer, you'll work closely with our Solutions and Growth Strategist teams to understand what our largest customers need to succeed. When a million-dollar deal hinges on a specific capability, you'll be the one who makes it happen-shipping production code in days, not quarters. Your work will directly impact Clay's revenue growth and shape our product roadmap. While products you originate may eventually be handed off to sister teams for further development, you'll often lead features from conception through scaled solution.
We strongly prefer candidates based in New York, as our product, engineering, and design teams collaborate in person.

The Ideal Candidate
You're not just an engineer-you're a business-minded builder who gets energy from solving real customer problems. You thrive in environments where the requirements are ambiguous, the timeline is "yesterday," and the impact is measured in revenue. You can hold your own in a technical discussion with senior engineers and in a business discussion with enterprise executives.
Most importantly, you understand that sometimes the best solution isn't the most elegant one-it's the one that ships today and unblocks the customer.
