Senior Software Engineer – Platform Services (Contingent Resource) Location: Charlotte, NC Team: Chief Technology Office – Enterprise Pipeline Platform Services About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL) Platform Services team within the Chief Technology Office. This team is responsible for building and maintaining a scalable, automated software delivery platform that supports applications across the enterprise. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our CI/CD ecosystem, driving innovation in automation, observability, and platform reliability. Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of scalable, automated build and deployment pipelines across diverse application stacks. Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders to identify platform gaps and deliver impactful solutions. Drive adoption of self-service onboarding, inner-source models, and SDLC-integrated controls. Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams. Partner with cross-functional teams to define and implement non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as observability, reliability, and performance. Contribute to the strategic direction of the platform by evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent (., military service, education, consulting). Proven experience with full-stack technologies including infrastructure (VMs, storage), databases, and application development (Java, Python). Strong background in DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, BlackDuck, and Harness. Experience with observability tools (., AppDynamics, Elastic, Splunk, Grafana, Google Cloud Logging). Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, TKGI, OpenShift) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Deep understanding of SRE principles and experience implementing automation for operational excellence. Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient systems. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or platform engineering roles. 5+ years of experience in application and data architecture. Experience with performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and system tuning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
