We have an exciting opportunity in Poway, CA (San Diego, CA) for an Antenna Engineer to join the RF/Antenna Engineering group. The successful candidate will lead a small, multi-disciplined team of engineers engaged in the development of active electronically scanned antenna arrays to support airborne synthetic aperture and collision avoidance radars. Major areas include overall project technical leadership, system-level design, maturation of hardware from prototype to flight-qualified, coordination with various radar product teams, and interfacing with customers and senior management. This position will require leading a team that covers technical backgrounds in RF and mixed signal design, signal processing, FPGAs, power management, firmware, software, and mechanical design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform as the Principal Investigator (PI) for phased antenna array systems. Lead or participate in proposal preparation and technical analysis in support of new business activities. Determine and manage system requirements. Develop test programs and analysis for requirements verification. Prepare and present status/progress reports, PDR & CDR presentations, and formal proposals to executive level personnel and customers. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the radar product teams. Investigate new technologies and applications. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for company-wide antenna-related concerns. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
