Soltesz, Inc. has a full time position for a Site / Civil Engineer III in our Lanham, MD office, who likes working with skilled professionals in a team oriented environment. This position performs a variety of civil engineering design functions in support of a variety of major projects in the region. The candidate must be career driven, technologically savvy, and able to adapt to a wide variety of project types and sizes.

The work required by the Engineer III is diverse ranging from general site / civil engineering duties to technical work that requires strong capabilities in MicroStation / AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat. Experience in software programs which may include, but not limited to: TR-55, TR-20, HEC-RAS, XP-SWM, Hydroflow, KY-Pipe, WaterCad is preferred, but not required.

Previous design experience with site / civil projects in either Prince George's County or Montgomery County, Maryland is preferred.

Job Requirements

BS degree in Civil Engineering 5+ years of progressive experience directly related to site / civil engineering design and construction of land development projects in the Washington DC Metro area, specific experience in Prince George's County or Montgomery County is preferred. Responsible for preparing project design documents including: site grading, roadway design, storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment and erosion control design, and water & sewer infrastructure design, etc. Demonstrated ability to meet project and client deadlines. Works efficiently to meet project budgets. Prepares graphics, exhibits, and site / civil construction plans. Communicates effectively with coworkers, sub consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies. Composes technical design reports, memorandums and other written communication such as email. Handles multiple concurrent projects. Ability to mentor and train other civil engineering design staff. Other duties as required
