Summary
: We are currently seeking an experienced IT/OT Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems and tools to support our operational and business processes. Experience with machine vibration / condition monitoring systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and monitor automated systems for IT and OT infrastructure.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and implement automation solutions.
3. Ensure the reliable operation and performance of automation systems, resolving any system issues as necessary.
4. Conduct regular system audits to identify potential areas of improvement or issues before they occur.
5. Provide technical leadership and expertise on automation systems and technologies.
6. Develop and maintain documentation for automated systems, including operation manuals, system configurations, and maintenance procedures.
7. Train staff on the usage and maintenance of automation systems.
8. Stay current with the latest automation technologies and trends.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems and concepts to non-technical team members.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT/OT Automation Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of IT and OT systems, including networking, database systems, and software applications.
Experience with automation technologies and tools, such as scripting languages, configuration management tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with industrial wireless communications is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to pounds at times
