Embedded Software Engineer
This position is associated with the design and development of embedded software that controls machine operations and functions. Various development roles are available that require use of C++. Testing methods include bench testing with controllers, extensive vehicle simulation testing, and physical full machine testing.
Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain embedded software using modern C++ for real-time control systems in agricultural equipment Collaborate with systems engineers, electrical engineers, and product owners to define software requirements and architecture Design and implement software features for GNSS, ISOBUS, sensor integration, and autonomous operations Integrate embedded software with various hardware platforms including microcontrollers, sensors, and CAN-based systems Participate in software validation, debugging, and troubleshooting both in lab and field environments Contribute to continuous integration and automated testing strategies for embedded systems Provide support and documentation for product development, testing, and customer usage Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field 2+ years of professional experience in embedded software development using C++ Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and/or bare-metal environments Understanding of CAN protocols (e.g., J1939, ISO 11783) and tools such as CANalyzer or CANoe Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and technical documentation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with agricultural equipment, off-highway vehicles, or autonomous systems Knowledge of Model-Based Design (e.g., Simulink, Stateflow) Familiarity with Python or scripting for testing and automation Exposure to Agile development methodologies and version control (e.g., Git) Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position
Pay Range: $75,000-$120,000 - Commensurate with experience
