Overview
As one of our Electronics/Software Engineers, you will be key to helping us research, design, develop, and test electrical components, circuits, and systems for the creation and manufacturing of OLED Lighting products. Why is this role so important? Ultimately, we pride ourselves in empowering our customers to make unique products with the world's most advanced, best performing, and highest quality multi-stack OLED technology. It is our mission. We must maintain our technological advantage by continuous development of advanced technologies to make our OLED lighting products even more reliable, brighter, and higher performing at lower cost.
What You'll Do Every Day
As a part of our User Experience team, you will work closely with the Research & Development and Production teams to help build and ensure the functionality and quality of various prototypes, demonstrators, applications, manufacturing tools, and products under development. The cool thing about OLEDWorks is that one minute you might be working closely with our CTO, and the next you might be working alongside one of our new co-op employees or technicians learning all about OLEDs and our technology. We truly have a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and innovative inspiration.
Day to day, you will be designing devices, coding applications, and performing hands-on electronics work. You will work in a desk environment using CAD and development software as well as in our research lab using a variety of electronics assembly tools. You will also support various trade shows and customer tech days with the design and assembly of demonstrators (on site).
Skills You Must Bring
Ideally you have a BS/BE degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. You have at least 3 years of full-time related job experience in a research and/or manufacturing environment. You can code, use 2D and 3D CAD software, and have electronics design and assembly skills all in a professional setting.
You pay attention to the details and are diligent and thorough. Solving challenging technical problems is a passion and never-ending mission. Working on a wide variety of project types is energizing. You take pride in your accurate and consistent work and like to contribute collaboratively as a team. You are comfortable primarily working in an office, located in Rochester, NY.
