Position Overview The Walnut Creek, San Francisco, or Seattle offices of Kilpatrick Townsend are seeking a full-time, entry-level Patent Engineer to join the Electronics & Software Patent Prosecution team. The Patent Engineer will assist in preparing patent applications and responses to Office Actions from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and foreign patent offices. This role is ideal for individuals interested in inventions, reading, and writing, and working towards certification as a Patent Agent licensed to practice before the USPTO. Starting salaries are competitive, and remote work is permitted part of the week.

Qualifications

Recent graduate or scheduled to graduate in 2022 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related fields with relevant programming coursework and a good GPA (minimum 3.0).

Strong mathematics background.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
