The National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program is looking for an Electronics Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Central Service Area - Engineering Services Group, located in Ft Worth, TX. In this role, you will be instrumental in the daily operations of the FAA's Legacy Infrastructure to Future Technologies (LIFT) Portfolio, focused on transitioning National Airspace Connectivity from TDM to IP. Key areas of focus include replacing telecommunications infrastructure, implementing Small Tower Voice Switches, Air to Ground Protocol Converters, and NEXCOM Radios. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate existing site surveys to outline work requirements for site preparations. Conduct site surveys at remote locations to assess LIFT site preparation needs. Draft detailed scopes of work for facilities based on site survey insights and data. Identify required LIFT contract CLINs for site preparation. Generate cost estimates related to site preparations. Review contractor proposals for site preparation accuracy and compliance. Create ORM PRPs for site preparation and installation of LIFT equipment. Collaborate with SSC/TSC/AT to implement risk mitigations for LIFT operations. Coordinate and schedule site preparation activities in conjunction with SSC/TSC/AT/LIFT personnel. Oversee site preparation and installation activities performed by LIFT contractors. Generate regular status reports to keep all stakeholders informed. Update Corporate Work Plan (CWP) data as needed. Revise and update facility drawings (red lines) for further drafting purposes. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience. Willingness to travel 25%-50% of the time. Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Suitability clearance (must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder who has resided in the US for the past 3 years). Strong proficiency in MS Office Suites. Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools. Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with National Electric Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. Understanding of OSHA and electrical safety regulations. Knowledge of NAS facilities such as ASR, ATCT, VOR, ARSR, and RCAG. Familiarity with National Airspace System Equipment Building (NASEB). Experience with Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12. Pay Range: $85,150.00 - $153,925.00 This pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of actual compensation.
