Electrical Project Engineer – Infrastructure Location: Jacksonville, FL (onsite with regional travel as needed)
The Opportunity
Our client, a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm, partners with public-sector agencies and private developers to deliver essential power and low-voltage solutions that keep communities connected and resilient. They are expanding their Florida practice and need a proven Electrical Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure projects—spanning municipal buildings, transit corridors, utility upgrades, and smart-city initiatives—while mentoring emerging talent and shaping best-in-class delivery standards.
Key Functions
• Spearhead discovery sessions and craft electrical design strategies that balance client goals, end-user safety, and community impact.
• Direct cradle-to-completion delivery (scope, schedule, budget, invoicing, and close-out) while maintaining rigorous quality and compliance benchmarks.
• Champion technical excellence and continuous improvement through internal knowledge-sharing groups and process enhancements.
• Provide decisive leadership to multidiscipline partners—civil, structural, architectural—ensuring seamless coordination and design integration.
• Act as primary liaison for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, cultivating trust through clear, timely communication.
• Produce power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system plans (fire alarm, CCTV, access control, communications) for buildings, transportation assets, and utility infrastructure.
Skill Set & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of consulting experience delivering building or infrastructure electrical projects, including leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit plus working knowledge of NFPA 70, Florida Building Code, and related standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in low-voltage and smart-building systems (fire alarm, CCTV, access control, communications).
• Proven mentor with strong verbal/written communication and ERP-based project-tracking skills.
