Work with software engineers to co-design a system, finding ways to solve problems by making software and hardware cooperate rather than operate at cross-purposes. Work with mechanical engineers to design servers, switches, and a rack that work together, solving everything from thermal to cabling challenges. Design and develop electronic circuits for high-speed boards. Simulate and test board designs. Specify, design, and support functional testing in manufacturing. Ensure that boards are compliant with all industry standards and regulatory requirements. These responsibilities are just a starting point! We value deep circuit design expertise and innovative approaches to simulation and testing. Approach schematic entry as a craft, aiming for readability to facilitate review and understanding. Enjoy working with the latest technologies, even if documentation is limited and self-guided learning is required. Are energized by the intricacies of signal and power integrity and love diving into complex problems. Have experience prototyping and testing your own boards from end to end. Feel at home with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, etc. Possess experience with leading PCB technologies and electrical design, and familiarity with DDR4/5, PCIe, and I2C/SPI/UART buses. Believe in fully documenting your ideas and enjoy reading others’ documentation. Are familiar with GitHub or willing to learn basic software development workflows.
