An electrical engineer designs, develops, and tests electrical systems and equipment. They work on a wide range of projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, as well as electronic devices and control systems. Electrical engineers analyze and solve complex problems related to electrical systems, ensuring they meet safety, efficiency, and performance standards. They also collaborate with other engineers and professionals to integrate electrical systems into larger projects and provide technical support during construction and operation. Additionally, electrical engineers may be involved in research and development to innovate and improve electrical technologies. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Ø Design standard jobs with guidance. Ø Read and interpret customer job specifications. Ø Develop detailed Bills of material for medium and low voltage switchgear Ø Order materials. Ø Create drawings. Ø Transmit drawings to shop and customer. Ø Interface with project management, customer (with supervisor) and shop. Ø Completed task are check by more senior engineers. Ø Coordination with Project Management throughout the project Ø Constant contact with production to answer questions and provide clarification and/or authorization on design changes Ø Follow standard engineering processes and timelines. Ø Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage workload as per priority Ø Provide technical assistance as necessary to sales, engineering and inspection teams Ø Assist with and solve problems of other production engineers on a daily basis. Ø Learn policies and procedures, work instruction, ISO policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and vendor products. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS v BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or related area v Minimum 1-3+ years of experience in an Engineering role. v Advanced drafting/CAD skills. v Proficient with electrical design and circuitry. v Basic understanding of power system and relay applications as applied to products.
