How will I contribute? You will be responsible for designing and engineering power, lighting, grounding/bonding, special systems (, telephone/data, security, fire alarm), raceway, cable tray, and other electrical systems to integrate seamlessly into the built environment. As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll also: Manage multiple complex tasks while overseeing the Electrical discipline’s scope of work and budget for small to medium projects.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure successful project execution.
Deliver critical design tasks such as power load, illumination, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations, basis of design reports, one-line diagrams, and specifications using cutting-edge tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software.
Lead design activities for all project phases, including studies, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers, driving quality and growth within your team.
Responsibilities: Design electrical systems in compliance with relevant codes, ensuring coordination across disciplines. Develop construction drawing packages and write specifications for projects with intermediate complexity. Support construction activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, developing punch lists, and preparing progress reports. Conduct field surveys to identify non-compliant conditions and provide actionable recommendations. Drive project quality by leading quality checks for small projects and maintaining high standards in electrical design and implementation. Develop training presentations to share best practices within the electrical discipline. Office Location Creve Coeur (St Louis, MO 63141) Work Schedule Hybrid schedule, with an expectation of working in the office 3-4 days each week. Qualifications
ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Engineering Technology. 5 years of relevant experience within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry. Active Professional Engineer (PE) Registration in good standing (preferably in Missouri). Demonstrated proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical systems design calculations. Experience applying electrical codes and standards such as NFPA, IESNA, UL, OSHA, and/or IEEE. Preferred Qualifications : Intermediate knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments. Familiarity with SKM Powertools for electrical system analysis. Strong coordination skills across project teams, vendors, and manufacturers.
