As an Electrical Engineer – EV (Electric Vehicle), you will be a key contributor to the development and integration of critical electrical systems that power and control our eVTOL platform. You’ll be involved in designing high-voltage systems, power electronics, embedded hardware, and ensuring regulatory compliance – all within a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Ideal candidates are self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and test electrical power systems, including battery integration, high-voltage distribution, and propulsion interfaces.
Collaborate on the design of embedded electronics for flight control, sensor integration, and safety systems (e.g., LIDAR, parachute deployment).
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts using tools like Altium or KiCad.
Support integration and testing of motor controllers, sensors, avionics, and onboard systems.
Ensure EMI/EMC compliance and work to mitigate electrical noise within the aircraft environment.
Participate in prototype assembly, field testing, and data collection.
Work closely with mechanical, aeronautical, and software teams to achieve seamless system integration.
Maintain documentation and support future FAA Mosaic
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design, prototyping, and testing.
Strong understanding of DC power systems, battery management, and electric motor control.
Experience with embedded hardware and microcontroller-based systems.
Familiarity with electrical safety standards, circuit protection, and basic system redundancy.
Proficiency in tools such as Altium, LTspice, or equivalent.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a startup-style environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with aerospace systems, UAVs, or electric vehicles.
Knowledge of FAA certification pathways.
Familiarity with LIDAR, obstacle avoidance sensors, and autonomous navigation hardware.
Basic understanding of software-controlled flight systems or control theory.
