Location: Some work may be done remotely, but candidates must be local to the Atlanta, GA area to take field notes, meet with operations or customers in the field, or attend meetings at in-district building.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Review daily outages and initiate corrective action when needed via a trimming request or an annual WO. Analyze customer complaints regarding multiple outages/momentariness or high/low voltage and initiate corrective action via an annual WO. Review request for large load additions (new load & DER requests), determine distribution design for how new load will be supplied, determine cost to serve new load and customer contribution per NB12 (working with Account Executives), create maps and onelines of the design, assist in customer meetings, create Project Authorization Form (PAF) and present projects to Solution Design Committee (SDC) and Connecticut Project Authorization Committee (CTPAC) Create PAFs for assigned projects and present projects to SDC and CTPAC for the following types of projects (all projects to provide project options with cost benefit analysis) Create contingency plans for Single Contingency Line Loss (SCLL) i.e., substation on single transmission line due to planned work on the second transmission line. Perform Synergi load flows for circuit overloads, hi/low voltage, fault current at a location per customer request. Update summer and winter peaks in our Load Estimating Projections (LEAP), verify no normal or contingency overloads, perform load balancing when needed. Provide engineering switching support for System Operations Center (SOC) during summer heat waves (load transfers) Perform underground cable ratings in USAMP. Provide RMT support as a Modeler in our Outage Management System (OMS) during storms. Perform Electro Magnetic Field (EMF) readings at customer locations when requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with projects in distribution design Joint use/Make ready experience a must
Education & Experience
BS degree +3 or more years relevant experience MS degree +2 or more years relevant experience High School Diploma +8 or more years relevant experience
Pre-Screen
