Electrical Design Engineer – Atlanta, GA Full-Time | Onsite | Commercial & Industrial Projects Our client, a leading electrical contractor with 80 years of experience in the industry, has an immediate need for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Atlanta-based team. This position will play a key role in supporting Project Engineers through the completion of detailed power and lighting drawings for large-scale commercial and industrial projects—including work with high-profile clients like Coca-Cola, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft. Key Responsibilities:
Model electrical systems and content in 3D using Revit, based on National Electrical Code standards. Perform short circuit and coordination studies using SKM Power Tools (training provided if needed). Write macros in Excel and JavaScript to streamline repetitive tasks. Prepare engineering reports for client distribution. Print and manage large-scale drawing sets for project managers and field teams. Assist with electrical distribution and lighting system design for new construction and mission critical facilities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSEET). Minimum of 3 years of electrical design experience for commercial, industrial, or mission critical facilities. Strong Revit proficiency; ability to model electrical systems accurately. Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SKM Power Tools. Ability to build custom Revit families. Familiarity with power studies is a plus (training available).
