Electrical and Process Control Engineer
Role:  The electrical and process control engineer develops and maintains control systems (DCS and PLC) for real-time, on-line control of production processes.  The incumbent works as a team with operations, maintenance, technical services, environmental, engineering and IT to improve manufacturing efficiencies and quality by applying control system knowledge to minimize variation and reduce costs. Qualifications
Accountabilities Safety leadership and compliance for employees. Initiate and enforce all Company systems, policies, and procedures. Hold self, team members, and all in the facility accountable for their duties, behaviors, and actions. Maintain control systems by providing required configuration changes and routine system backups and by maintaining the necessary documentation and drawings. Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical service staff with by providing control system optimization, troubleshooting, and technical support. Support Engineering and Maintenance in the design, configuration, checkout, training and startup of capital projects. Work with facility and contract technicians to accomplish the physical portion of tasks. Programming and support of drives/drive integration Work with third party service vendors Be available during off hour and weekend on-call rotations. Initiate and complete tasks with minimal direct supervision. Responsible for the successful completion of planned maintenance shutdowns (along with Maintenance Superintendent), including development of ghant charts and PM schedules. Must work closely with operations,  maintenance personnel, engineering, purchasing, and outside contractors on a daily basis Ensures that the predictive and preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to timely while also engaging with maintenance personnel to promote issue resolution and electrical reliability skills Enable the Electrical/Instrumentation crew to work safely through training, monitoring, continuous coaching and mentoring. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline, with three (3) years’ experience preferred.   Equivalent experience will be considered. Experience implementing controls in a DeltaV control system, a Provox DCS, or equivalent system is desired. Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers such as RSLogix and ControlLogix is desired. Strong interpersonal / customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels within a manufacturing organization. Strong English language skills, including ability to clearly express complex issues. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to absorb new technology and processes quickly. Strong personal computer skills. Positive attitude, motivated, adaptable and focused. Candidate must be able to work well with others; teamwork is a daily activity.
