Position Summary The Dispensing Lead Engineer will oversee the integration and launch of joining equipment within the Body in White (BIW) division at an automotive OEM. This includes supporting non-new model activities, certification, and ongoing operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities: Ensure equipment suppliers meet North America BIW dispensing specifications. Conduct throughput analysis and propose improvement measures. Collaborate with Product Engineering, Materials, and Equipment Suppliers for certification. Review and approve EEM (Early Equipment Management) deliverables. Maintain dispensing certification throughout the launch process. Provide feedback to management on equipment operation, quality, and cost. Support cost reduction initiatives and asset reusability analysis. Lead dispensing equipment buy-offs and update certification documentation. Offer technical guidance to suppliers and internal teams. Support non-new model BIW operations and troubleshooting. Host bi-weekly Dispensing CoC calls and track KPIs. Maintain and develop the Joining Tech V workbook and buy-off docs. Promote and implement read-across improvements across BIW operations.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field. Minimum 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience with joining technologies. Expertise in dispensing equipment from vendors like Nordson, Atlas Copco, and IDS. Strong skills in parameter development and equipment troubleshooting. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Proactive and self-driven. Must be able to travel freely between U.S. and Canada (U.S. Passport or equivalent required).

Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry. Hands-on involvement in body shop launch activities.
