Our Maintenance Engineers/Live Audio Engineers focus on installing audio, rigging, and lighting equipment, as well as performing general maintenance, operation, and functional checks. Responsibilities Remove and install audio, rigging, and lighting equipment, assemblies, and components using hand tools, power tools, and technical documents. Set up and strike trade show electrical power. Preventive Maintenance Inspections Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as outlined in written job plans to ensure venues open safely and on time. Follow checklists to verify and inspect equipment, requiring visual and color acuity, flashlight, and jeweler’s screwdriver use. Operational and Functional Checks Start and operate audio, lighting, electrical, dimming, and rigging systems to verify proper operation. Must operate equipment safely and know actions during failures or emergencies. Capable of operating shows solo or in teams. Troubleshoot Equipment Faults Detect faults in audio, lighting, rigging, electrical systems, and understand system loads and schematics. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Availability for night shifts, including Sundays, holidays, and any days off, across all shifts (day, swing, graveyard). Technical Skills & Experience Experience with Yamaha & Digico mixing consoles, capable of installations and setups, with knowledge of audio networking, signal flow, rigging, and electrical systems. Preferred Qualifications Basic networking knowledge, Dante & QSYS certifications, experience with QLAB software.
