Digital Systems Verification and Validation Senior Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Systems Verification & Validation (V&V) Technical Lead to oversee technical performance and compliance for advanced nuclear instrumentation and control systems. You’ll lead V&V program activities, review and validate hardware, software, and firmware systems, and work with multidisciplinary teams across high-impact energy technology programs.
Location: Remote
Length of Assignment: 12 months

Responsibilities:
Lead and execute V&V programs for digital I&C systems, hardware, and software.
Develop V&V plans, procedures, and policies aligned to regulatory and internal standards.
Review and verify system requirements, specifications, and design documentation.
Conduct testing across the digital system lifecycle and generate associated reports.
Participate in audits, inspections, and supplier evaluations.
Support configuration management and software safety analysis.
Collaborate with engineering, licensing, and commissioning teams.
Mentor and guide staff to uphold high technical standards and process improvements.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. or higher in Controls, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of NQA-1 design verification experience.
5+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
Strong background in I&C systems and V&V for safety-critical applications.
Experience with software/firmware testing, diagnostics, and lifecycle management.
Familiarity with relevant NRC Regulatory Guides and IEEE standards.
Knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1 QA programs.
Excellent communication, technical writing, and leadership skills.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a multidisciplinary setting.
Estimated Compensation Range: $55.00–$80.00 per hour. All experience levels considered.
