DevOps Systems Engineer We are looking for a proactive and skilled DevOps Systems Engineer to enhance our development, QA, and production infrastructure. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining high system availability, automating deployments, and ensuring optimal performance across environments. Key Responsibilities Enhance and support the CI/CD pipeline across development, QA, and production environments. Administer and support both Windows and Linux server environments. Troubleshoot issues throughout the stack: OS, network, web server (Apache/Tomcat), and application layer. Perform administration of Atlassian Data Center products (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc.), including upgrades and migrations. Manage patching schedules and execute Windows patch rollouts with minimal downtime. Engage in a Tier 2-3 24/7 on-call rotation for critical systems to ensure prompt incident response. Support Java application deployments and runtime environments. Collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to enhance automation, monitoring, and reliability. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in a DevOps or Systems Engineering role. Hands-on experience with build/release/deploy pipelines and automation tools. Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, or equivalent). Experience with Apache and Tomcat configuration and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and diagnosing issues at the network layer. Proficient in administering Atlassian Data Center products in a production setting. Experience with Windows patch management using WSUS/SCCM or similar tools. Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for production systems. Familiarity with Java application configuration and troubleshooting. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, HiTech, HL7). Experience with Docker or containerized application environments. Familiarity with Redis and queueing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka). Scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation purposes. Technical Qualifications Tools Specific To The Role: JIRA Databases: MS SQL Server, Oracle Scripting Language: PowerShell, Batch, Bash API Tools: Postman, SoapAPI CI/CD Tools: Bamboo, Jenkins IDE Tools: Apache, Maven, NPM Version Control: Subversion (SVN) Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and other compensable factors. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may result in pay outside this range.
