Design Engineer III – Lab Test Technical Designer
An aerospace and defense company in Tukwila, WA is currently hiring for a Design Engineer III to join their Systems Laboratory Test Design/Build team. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting commercial and military programs. Candidates must reside near Tukwila, WA or be willing to relocate. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD software proficiency. Pay – (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, relevant job titles… Location – Tukwila, WA (Onsite) Schedule – Standard Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) Responsibilities
Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines. Support Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) and Critical Design Reviews (CDRs). Manage drafting requirements and incorporate drawing changes. Develop and modify systems components and installation designs. Review mechanical structural assemblies and configuration management requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product development. Qualification Requirements
3+ years of experience in mechanical design and CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO). Experience with 2D drawings and 3D deliverables. AA degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical audiences.
