Responsibilities As a Design Engineer Naval Architecture, you will play a crucial role in ship design and the delivery of the tender package. You will be responsible for developing naval architecture design solutions into a set of requirements during precontract activities in the Proposals department. You can execute requirements analysis, concept generation, general arrangement design, weight estimations, stability calculations, resistance and propulsion calculations, and main ship balances. You evaluate new concepts and take care of the corresponding reporting. You write technical documents, specifications for equipment, contract specifications, reports, and make presentations to visualize the calculations and concepts. You ensure effective communication with all relevant stakeholders so that input can be included in the specialized calculations. Profile / Qualifications Master or bachelor degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical study. At least three years of relevant experience in a variety of design concepts and practices Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. You will contribute to projects involving new builds, conversions, and refits of vessels, ranging from workboats to +130m megayachts. You can perform structural calculations for both local and global ship constructions in steel and aluminum structures (statics, buckling, modal, optimization). You will take responsibility for integrating deliverables into the ship design, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and you will conduct vessel motion analyses.
