API Heat Transfer is seeking a Design Engineer to join our remote team as part of our transformation efforts. What We Offer: Opportunity to learn from and contribute to a global engineering team Work with leading-edge technology in the heat transfer industry Impact on customers across multiple industries Full health & welfare benefits, 401(k), PTO, and development opportunities Travel opportunities up to 15% to API locations, clients, and trade shows Responsibilities: Create and manage designs for new product development projects using SolidWorks Develop and execute application engineering simulations for heat exchanger design Manage product assemblies and integrate heat exchanger designs Assist in detailing standard costs of product designs Support manufacturing by maintaining BOMs, part info, and drawings Author and distribute technical documents Collaborate with teams to validate outputs and analyze results Work with internal teams on project scope, costs, and feasibility Contribute to project priorities and provide technical leadership Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heat exchanger technology Share market, technology, and competitor information Qualifications: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or proven industry experience, preferably in heat transfer Expertise in SolidWorks CAD software Ability to develop automated 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks Experience with 2D print automation features Knowledge of heat exchanger types such as aluminum, shell & tube, and plate Experience with new product development processes Up-to-date knowledge of AI trends in 3D modeling and integration Understanding of the data center industry is a plus Collaborative, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment is desirable This job posting appears to be active and not expired.
