Job Description: Database Analyst Sr Advisor

Responsibilities Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Applies knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface) for data services and databases Provides expert knowledge for the design, development, build, analysis, evaluation, installation and administration of database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, non-relational database architecture and procedures, metadata and repository creation, data recovery, backup plans, and configuration management Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, ETL tasks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation Defines database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a database environment Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, database management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of databases Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned Consults with executives and customers to deliver complex database solutions Coaches and provides guidance to less-experienced professionals Recognized as an industry leader in database analysis Develops and manages user rights and permissions Required Skills Demonstrable experience creating data storage solutions for web applications Expert knowledge in database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Document DB, MongoDB, and others. Expert in data access management Expert in database security and integrity management Expert in querying databases using SQL, JSON, Python Preferred Skills Competency with work management and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence Proficient with UML/SysML and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or commensurate level of experience. Additional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
