Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python/PySpark, Big Data technologies, and data modeling, with proven expertise in SQL development for Oracle and Snowflake environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data processing systems, ensuring efficient workflows, and supporting business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark.

Work with large datasets, including big data and unstructured data , to support analytics and reporting needs.

Develop and optimize SQL queries in Oracle and Snowflake environments.

Implement and manage scheduling and orchestration tools such as Autosys and Apache Airflow .

Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to ensure data quality and accessibility.

Contribute to data modeling and database design best practices.

Troubleshoot data processing issues and optimize performance.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Good to Have:

Experience with Informatica .

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and PySpark for data engineering.

5+ years working with Big Data and unstructured data development & modeling.

5+ years of strong SQL development experience in Oracle and Snowflake .

3+ years of experience with Autosys and Apache Airflow .

Solid understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architecture.
