The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. We are seeking a network engineer with deep knowledge and broad experience across network security technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.). This position will be working within the mission environment supporting the Artemis program. Responsibilities Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Architect, deploy, configure, and effectively manage network infrastructure. Define, document, and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues. Familiarity with Network IDS/IPS solutions. Understanding of effectively configuring ACLs and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions. Integrating network devices with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. Familiarity with networking protocols and the OSI model.
