The Cybersecurity Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of Nihon Kohden medical systems, devices, and networks within a healthcare organization. This position will work with various internal and external teams to ensure products are implemented effectively throughout the installation process, and to provide real-time support as well as post implementation after handoff. The Cybersecurity Network Engineer also coordinates in support of the installation teams to ensure successful go-lives, assists Quality Assurance team with software and hardware testing and validations, and serves as a technical resource for Technical Support and other teams as an escalation point for application, network communication, and device related issues.
Essential Functions and Main Duties
Establish information security policies.
Implement protective measures through firewalls, software solutions, custom scripts, custom tools, and data encryption technologies.
Keep up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats and adjust security measures accordingly.
Conduct regular vulnerability testing through simulations and tests.
Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and all DoD ATO requirements.
Monitoring various systems and reporting on any identified cybersecurity issues. This would include potential attach vectors, vulnerabilities, etc.
Investigate cybersecurity issues for the root cause as they come up and generate a report of findings; host training sessions to review findings as needed.
Responsible for overall day-to-day support of the server products, networks, and monitoring equipment as it relates to cybersecurity best business practice.
Conduct kick-off calls for DoD implementations and where appropriate, Civilian implementations.
Responsible for requesting, setting up, testing VPN/Remote access, and maintaining related documents for supporting DoD customers
Provide product, administrative, and application training to end users.
Assist teams with setting up test environment(s) for software and hardware testing and validations.
Perform regular cybersecurity penetration and vulnerability testing against all appropriate Nihon Kohden applications and modalities.
Build, test, update, and maintain all production master images for both Neurology and Patient Monitoring products.
Create, update, and maintain system configuration documents and service records.
Responsible for assisting installation teams and field engineers with troubleshooting and installations.
Provide network troubleshooting (with guidance and approval of a network engineer) on Interface VLAN membership, switch configurations, server applications, and configurations.
Serve as Neurology and Patient Monitoring technical resource for Technical Support and other teams with respect to cybersecurity design, deployment, and relevant issues that arise.
Serves as an escalation point for application, network communication, and device related issues.
Responsible for tracking and resolving issues quickly to minimize downtime and keep the impact to a minimal when making change(s) is/are required.
Responsible for updating, performing follow-up calls, and closing escalated complaint tickets.
Participate in after hours on-call support on rotational basis.

Qualifications
Education / Certification / Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in information technology; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree
A combination of the following or willingness to acquire some combination of the following certifications is required (failure to achieve appropriate and requested certifications will result in termination)
CISSP
MSCE/MCSA/MCP
CCNA/CCNP/CCDA/CCDP
CompTIA – Security+, Network+, A+
Active Security Clearance (Confidential, Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI) is a plus
8+ years related software and hardware experience with applicable certification(s)
Experience working with complaint and project management systems such as SAP and Salesforce is preferred
Experience with Nessus / Tennable.io, SteelCloud, Rapid7 applications, and Synopsys Black Duck is preferred
Must be able to pass a government background check
Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills

Working Conditions
Schedule : The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.
Physical : Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 35 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
Travel : Approximately 50%
Access to Customer Sites : It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it may be required to provide proof of vaccinations and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
