Cybersecurity Engineer

Chameleon is looking for a full time Cybersecurity Engineer with experience working with isolated and/or partially connected networks and equipment. The candidate will join a team of security and non-security engineers in developing exciting new products and supporting existing products. The successful candidate will  conduct cybersecurity engineering by generating recommendations, designing, implementing, and transitioning solutions to improve cybersecurity posture plan and execute vulnerability and compliance assessments, utilize ACAS or similar scanners and SCAP assessment tools remediate security findings across systems and networks support various stakeholders in implementing security standards and best practices, create robust technical solutions across multiple technology areas take a leading role in guiding stakeholders through implementing and adhering to Risk Management Framework perform risk analysis on products and services throughout various phases of their design and implementation provide security support to all environments, provide anti-virus solutions, execute STIG checklists review and maintain cyber security policies and participate in certification and accreditation activities maintain system status information execute the development of required cybersecurity program documentation employing the federal Risk Management Framework (RMF) Candidates should  be able explain to other stakeholders various industry and federal standards, policies and best practices and how they apply to existing and new products, services and networks have working knowledge of DoD and NIST information assurance regulations and documentation have experience creating and documenting security policies, procedures, and plans, including RMF and NIST 800-53 have experience planning and executing security assessments and vulnerability scans experience automating assessments, vulnerability scans and security tools and procedures into product development lifecycle hands-on experience implementing and maintaining secure network environments, including work with network equipment, server and client computing devices from a variety of manufacturers Candidates should have a secret clearance or ability to obtain secret clearance if needed. When applying, candidates should include a list of industry and federal security policies that they have experience implementing. As well as a list of equipment vendors/types of equipment and software operating systems that the candidate has hands-on experiences configuring, securing and maintaining. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree, CISSP certification or industry equivalent, 5 years of progressive experience in cyber security and information assurance.
