Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Siemens Controls Engineer to support a high-priority automation project. This role involves an immediate start and is a 9+ month engagement with the potential for expansion. The project focuses on Siemens TIA Portal for PLC and HMI development, utilizing Profisafe and Profinet for safety and industrial communication protocols.
Responsibilities
Design, program, and test Siemens-based control systems using TIA Portal.
Integrate and validate Profisafe and Profinet networks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and safety.
Participate in field commissioning, which may involve 1–2 months of travel later in the project.
Document code, configurations, and system changes for traceability.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal for programming Siemens PLCs and HMIs.
Experience with Profisafe and Profinet for reliable and secure system integration.
Strong programming skills with experience in structured text or ladder logic in Siemens environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with WinCC Runtime for HMI development is preferred.
Knowledge of Siemens ProDiag for diagnostics is advantageous.
Familiarity with PLCSIM simulation tool is a plus.
Willingness to travel for field commissioning (1–2 months).

External support is being added due to high project volume. The position offers standard day shift hours with flexibility. The dress code is business casual, suitable for a practical, shop-floor-ready environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $60.00/hr.
