Actalent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Robotics Engineer to join our team at a leading defense contractor. The successful candidate will have a strong experience in robotics programming and controls with experience in high-volume low-mix manufacturing environments. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast paced environment of over 10 engineers.
Day to day:
-Design develop and implement robotic automation solutions for manufacturing processes
-Program and integrate Fanuc and Epson robots with existing manufacturing systems utilizing PLC programming expertise
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
-Develop and maintain documentation for robotic systems and processes
-Optimize and maintain the production line to ensure maximum uptime and throughput while maintaining high-quality standards
-Work closely with the support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity

Additional Skills & Qualifications
In this role, the ideal candidate will possess..
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field
-5 years of experience in robotics automation or a related field with a focus on high-volume low-mix manufacturing environments
-Proficiency in PLC programming with experience in industrial robot programming and integration Fanuc and Epson experience highly preferred
-Strong understanding of manufacturing principles including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
-Experience with machine tending and automation of manual stations
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The Ideal Candidate will possess...
-Certification in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing or Statistical Process Control SPC
-Experience with other industrial robots and automation systems
-Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
-Proven track record of increasing efficiency and productivity in a manufacturing environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $51.00/hr.
