Job Description
The Controls Engineer 2 position offers a dynamic role that requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills. The candidate must possess 5-7 years of experience in the related field and hold an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering. The role involves supporting and transitioning across multiple projects, checking cables and wiring in the field, conducting site walk-downs, preparing cost estimates, supporting start-up procedures, and preparing layout and conceptual designs. Responsibilities
Support and transition across multiple projects. Check cables and wiring in the field. Perform and assist in site walk-downs. Prepare cost estimates. Support start-up procedures. Prepare layout and conceptual designs. Develop IO lists. Build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors. Essential Skills
Solid electrical knowledge. Configuration and graphic skills in platforms such as Ovation, Foxboro, ABB, or PLC. Experience with field support. Experience with control narrative and markup. Experience in cost estimating within sub-disciplines. Ability to develop IO lists. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering. 5-7 years of experience in a related field. Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors. Work Environment
The role is based on-site at Plant Vogtle, providing an opportunity to work closely with plant operations and design engineering teams. This position involves hands-on fieldwork, requiring attention to detail and safety protocols. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
