We are seeking a Controls Engineer in the Madison, WI area for a contract-to-direct opportunity. This role involves PLC programming , HMI/SCADA development , and start-up commissioning . Travel is 20-30% (mostly Midwest) , with per diem and extra pay for overnight stays .

Position Highlights: Location: On-site in Oregon, WI (12 miles south of Madison) Pay: $60K-$100K+ bonus, profit sharing, and per diem Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM Term: 6-month contract-to-direct hire

Key Responsibilities: PLC programming using Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000 . Develop HMI/SCADA systems (Wonderware, FactoryTalk, Ignition). Design and configure production networks and SQL reports . Lead start-up commissioning and oversee panel designers . Travel 20-30% (80% in the Midwest) , with company-paid expenses .

Qualifications: 3-5+ years of controls engineering experience . Strong PLC & HMI programming skills. Experience with network design & SQL reporting . Excellent communication & customer interaction skills. Ability to work on-site (no remote work) .
