THIS JOB IS REMOTE WITH 70% TRAVEL (THROUGHOUT THE US - COAST TO COAST). WORK SCHEDULE IS TYPICALLY 45-50 HOURS PER WEEK IN THE FIELD & OT ELIGIBLE (2-12 HOURS EVERY 2 WEEKS). HOWEVER, THIS CAN VARY BASED ON THE ONSITE REQS / HOW MUCH YOU TRAVEL. IF THE TRAVEL IS FAR FROM HOME, YOU MAY WORK 10 DAYS ON, 4 DAYS OFF. TRAVEL TIME IS PAID. This position understands equipment, business and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions and. participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation debugging and support of other complimentary engineering staff associated with the electrical hardware engineering. The Controls Engineer resolves somewhat complex site requirement changes, and support solutions to complete designed equipment installation. Travels to job sites.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Programs systems to support equipment operations.
Interfaces with internal engineering/project management and customers to determine system requirements.
Supports electrical installation via interfacing to electrical installers.
Debugs electrical installation of controls and motor components of somewhat difficult complexity.
Travels to jobs sites 65-80%.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
2+ years previous professional controls / electrical engineering experience that includes strong PLC programming with Allen Bradley
2+ years of materials handling
HMI knowledge is a plus.
Regular travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.

Travel time is paid - but must be reasonable (for example if flying is quicker - then flying in lieu of driving).
Must have a valid driver's license
Compensation depends on experience but is typically $40-45.67/hr W2 with a target salary to convert $84-95K plus bonus
