Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in the successful execution of construction projects. This office-based role emphasizes financial and administrative aspects of project management. The projects include water treatment facilities and industrial developments with pre-engineered metal buildings across the . In Central Indiana, the portfolio covers K-12 schools, car washes, parks and recreation facilities, National Guard projects, and renovations or additions to company headquarters. Some travel will be required. Responsibilities
Support Project Managers with financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple projects. Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication and purchase order tracking. Generate and maintain project documentation, including cost reports and progress updates. Utilize project management and ERP software (., Procore, Viewpoint, or similar) for documentation and reporting. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction experience, with 1 year of water/waste water or K-12 experience considered equivalent. 1 year of general contractor experience. 1 year of experience with construction software. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in water waste water projects. Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings. Institutional construction experience, including K-12 and water treatment facilities. Work Environment
This position requires working five days per week in the office, with a typical workweek ranging from 40 to 45 hours. Travel over 60 miles will be reimbursed at $0.67 per mile. The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $82500.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
